Imam Ja'far As-Sadiq (as)
From Mohammad B Abu Nasr from his father from Abu Abd Allah, peace be upon him, that he [the father] said:
I complained to him of a disturbance in my head and my teeth and a throbbing in my eye, so that my face was swollen from it. He, peace be upon him, said:
'Take this endive and extract its juice. Take the juice and pour over it a lot of lump sugar. It will relieve it and drive away its harm."
He [the father] said:
"I went to my house and treated it that night before I slept. I drank it and slept, and in the morning I was cured of it, praise be to Allah."
