Health in Islam: Hygiene

The Holy Prophet (saw) said:

"Try to be clean as much as you are able to.  Verily, Allah has based the foundationof Islam on cleanliness; hence, never can a person enter Paradise but the clean ones."

Kanzul-'Ummal, Tradition 26002

Here the word paradise if we look at it in the rewards that we get in this life can also be taken to mean peace and security.

Jurists unanimously have agreed upon the obligation of wearing clean clothes during prayers.  They have also ruled the invalidity of the prayers that are performed by those whose clothese are intentionally unclean.
