Health in Islam: Purity or cleanliness - What are the 'Najis' or impure things?
There are 10 things that are considered by Islamic laws to be najis or impure. These are: Urine Faeces Semen Dead body Blood Dog Pig Kafir : One who covers up the truth with falsehood and does not accept a God. Alcolic liqors The sweat of an animal who persistently eats impure things Taken from: [Islamic laws according to the rules of Ali al-Husaini as-Seestani] These are things that if we come into contact with them and pray while they are on our bodies (including our clothes) will cause us some form of discomfort whether physical, mental or spiritual and render our prayers void.
