The date palm and the date mentioned in the Holy Quran

Therin is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes
(enclosing dates) Ch. Rahman verse 11.

Peace,

I went back to the Holy Quran and continued researching the pages of Surah Yasin (chapter 36) I came across the very next verse refers where Allah guides in our nutrition after verse 33 which if you remember was guiding us in the very first step of nutrition.  The grain as the staple in our diet.  I reached the following verse.

36:34 "And We make therein gardens of palms and grapevines, and We make springs to flow forth in it" Holy Quran

I started looking for all the verses in the Quran that referred to the date palm and found the following:

Surah Rahman 55:11
Therein is fruit and date-palms producing spathes (enclosed dates);

Ch 18:18 Surah Kahf (The cave)
Set forth to them the parable of 2 men for one of them We provided two gardens of grape-vines and surrounded them with date-palms; in between the two We placed corn fields

Ch 2 Surah Baqara (The cow)
266 Does any of you wish that e should have a garden with date-palms and vines and streams flowing underneath and all kinds of fruit, which he is stricken with old age, and his children are not strong (enough to look after themselves) that it should be caught in a whirlwind, with first therein, and be burnt up? Thus doth Allah make clear to you (His) signs; that ye may consider.

Ch 16 Al-Nahl
11. With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes and every kind of fruit; verily in this is a sign for those who give thought

Ch 23 Al-Mominin The Believers
19. With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment)

Ch 26 As-Shura The Poets
148. And corn-fields and date-palms with spathes near breaking (with the weight of fruit)?

Ch 6 Al-Anam
99. He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, and therewith We bring forth buds of every kind; We bring forth the green blade from which We bring forth the thick clustered grain and from the date palm, from the pollen thereof, spring pendent bunches; and (We bring forth) gardens of grapes, and the olive and the pomegranate, alike and unalike.  Look upon the fruit thereof, when they bear fruit, and that upon its ripening.  Lo! herein verily are potents for a people who believe.

Ch Al-Anam
141. He it is who produce the gardens trellised and untrellised,

and the date-palm, and crops of diverse flavour, and the olive and the pomegranate, like and unlike, eat ye of the fruit thereof when it fruiteth, and pay the due thereof upon the harvest day, and be not prodigal.  Lo! Allah loveth not the prodigals.

[Note: Many lessons here, but lets focus on the trellises used for farming, the variety of tastes, the command to give charity from the produce]

Ch 13 Ar-Rad (The thunder)
4. And in the earth are neighbouring tracts, vineyards and ploughed lands, and date-palms, like and unlike, which are watered with one water.  And we have made some of them to excel others in fruit.  Lo! herein verily are portents for people who have sense.
[Note: Another lesson in farming]

Ch 16 An-Nahl (The bee)
67. And of the fruits of the date-palm and grapes, whence ye derive strong drink and (also) good nourishment.  Lo! therein is indeed a portent for people who ponder.
Ch 17 Al-Isra
91. Or thou have a garden of date-palms and grapes, and cause rivers to gush forth therein abundantly;

Ch 50 Qaf
10. And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters.
[Personal note: I noticed here the reference to the height of the date-palm and its height.  Is there a lesson in here for growing our height?  To be researched further.]

Ch 19 Maryam
23. And the throes (of childbirth) compelled her to betake herself to the trunk of a palm tree.  She said:  O would that I had died before this, and had been a thing quite forgotten!
[Note: nutrition for labour and delivery to ease the birth and pain]
25. And shake towards you the trunk of the palm tree, it will drop on you fresh ripe dates.
[Note: The ripe dates release themselves, perhaps also a reference to the effects of a date on the delivery of a child.  It will cause the opening of the birth canal to release the "ripe fruit" when the foetus is fully grown.- Further research to be done on the date and the connection to fertility, pregnancy and childbirth]

The questions that came into my mind.

It is narated in the book  Islamic Medical Wisdom  (Tibb al aima) translated by Batool Isfahani and published by Ansarian Publications:
Imam jafar As Sadiq narates from his forefathers (Imam Ali (as) in this case):
"Whoever eats twenty-one raisins at the beginning of the day, Allah will repel from him every disease and illness."
