Turnips: Imam Musa Al-Kazim (as) - Leprosy

Abu Bakr Muhammad b. al-Huraysh narrated from Muhammad b. 'Isa from 'Ali b. Musayyib from al-Abd al-Salih [Musa al-Kazim], peace be upon him, that he said:

"Eat turnips (al-saljam, for there is not one who has a strain of leprosy (irq al-min al-judham) but that the eating of turnips (al-saljam) dissolves it."

He ['Ali b. Mussayyib] asked:

"Raw or cooked?" He replied: "Both"

From Abu Ja'far, peace be upon him, that he said:

"There is no creature who has in him a strain of leprosy but that it is dissolved by [eating] turnips (al-saljam).'
